Site Review: CoinURL

In addition to the many websites that give you bitcoins for free or for doing very simple tasks, there are other ways to earn bitcoins without too much hassle. For example, by advertising other webs through CoinURL, which you can consider a mix between Google AdSense and AdF.ly for the bitcoin world. You won't even need your own website to earn bitcoins with CoinURL! Let's have a look at how all of this works:

Site Review: BitSprinkle

This is a site that I found just yesterday, lurking around the Bitcoin Reddit (which you should visit from time to time). It's very similar to BTC For Me (reviewed here): you send a tweet and receive free bitcoins. Let's see the details of BitSprinkle:

Site Review: Free BTC PT (2 updates)

This is a site that I found by chance, since it doesn't advertise itself anywhere. And it's also the one that can potentionally give you the largest amount of bitcoins every day. I call it "Free BTC PT":

Update 1, 10/03/2013: CoinVisitor has been down for 24 hours. I sent them a tweet to ask the reason.

Update 2, 11/03/2013: CoinVisitor works again...

Let's have a look today at one more site that gives you free bitcoins for visiting websites. CoinVisitor follows a scheme a bit different from other similar places like BitVisitor, Earn Free Bitcoins or BitCoin4YOU:

Site Review: Coin Reaper

Coin Reaper is a bitcoin faucet with a twist: it gives out some bitcoins but also lets you visit several other websites which give more free bitcoins without leaving the Coin Reaper site. So as you reap the bitcoins from them, I guess. Let's check it out:

Site Review: CoinTicket

CoinTicket is a bitcoin shop. Which sells... Bitcoins... That cost... Nothing. However, you need to get tickets to "buy" the bitcoins. When you visit this shop, you get a certain amount of tickets for free, but if you don't consider enough the amount you received, you can return later and try to get more... Or something like that. If all of this seems too difficult to understand, don't worry, I'll break it down for you: it's just another bitcoin faucet.

Site Review: Earn Free Bitcoins (4 updates)

I should have reviewed this site sooner, since it's one of the best sites to get free bitcoins and possibly the one that works the best. It's also got a couple of extras that make it really integrated as a website into the bitcoin world. Let's check out Earn Free Bitcoins today:

Site Review: BTC For Me (1 update)

Update 1, 31/03/2013: It seems the owner of the site sold the domain to a sex toys shop. Forget about getting free bitcoins here.

As you can see if you surf a bit around this blog, there are several websites that give you free bitcoins every certain amount of time after you make a simple action (solve a captcha, watch a video, visit a website...). There are also sites that give you bitcoins once, and that's it. You shouldn't miss these either! Every little helps in your quest to become Scrooge McBitcoin. Let's check out one of them, called BTC For Me:

Site Review: Bitcoin Faucet (5 updates)

Update 5, 10/04/2013: This site has been closed. No more free Bitcoins. Move on.

Update 2, 04/03/2013: This site is not giving me any bitcoins lately, because it thinks I'm using a proxy or blocking ads, which is not true. If they don't fix their bad detection system soon I'll remove it from the list of websites that give free bitcoins.

Update 3, 05/03/2013: It's working correctly again.

Update 4, 10/03/2013: I've had the same problem as in Update 2 for two days. Three days more and I'll remove it from the list!

What is this? Another website with a faucet spitting free bitcoins instead of water? That's correct! Who would have known, having such a weird name as "Bitcoin Faucet"?... Meh, forget the unoriginal name. You are going to visit the site that gives the biggest amount of free bitcoins of the world. Let's see what it looks like!:

Site Review: GOXKEYGEN (3 updates)

Update 1, 25/02/2013: Did this web stop working??? If it doesn't continue giving out codes in three days I'll have to add it to my list of websites that don't give out free bitcoins anymore...

Update 2, 28/02/2013: It seems this website died. No more codes for us.

Update 3, 01/03/2013: I removed it from the list. Rest In Peace.

Now that you have an account at the Mt.Gox exchange, there's a little web where you can get a code to add a few free bitcoins to this account called GOXKEYGEN:

Site Review: Mt.Gox

After setting up your digital wallet, mining a bit and gambling away your first free bitcoins, you are ready to enter a Bitcoin exchange and buy a couple of shiny coins with real world currency. With them you'll be able to speculate, gamble more or "expend them on tons of products and services", as the Weird Hippie CoinTube Woman says. There are several Bitcoin exchanges around, but the largest is Mt.Gox:

Site Review: Bitcoiner (2 updates)

Centuries ago, when Bitcoins were born (in 2009 [hey, we are on the Internet!]), one of the ways their first users tried to lure other people into adopting this innovative virtual currency was through "faucets". Basically, these were websites that sent small amounts of bitcoins for free to the bitcoin addresses you wished once or every certain amount of time. Today, it is still considered a way of welcoming new Bitcoin users. One of the best known bitcoin faucets around is Bitcoiner:

Site Review: CoinTube (3 updates)

Update 3, 05/03/2013: CoinTube doesn't pay you anymore to watch videos. Forget this site. Or visit it and check yourself that it doesn't work.

Site Review: CoinAd (8 updates)

Update 5, 04/03/2013: For the last 24 hours CoinAd has been inaccessible. It seems they have been hacked. I've sent @coinad a tweet to confirm this.

Update 6, 04/03/2013: Ten hours have passed and now it's back. Nobody knows what happened.

Update 7, 05/03/2013: It's broken again. I'll consider it fixed after it's up during three days in a row.

Another website very much like Daily Bitcoins is CoinAd:
